I work at GameStop and for the release of Bioshock Infinite we were one of few stores to NOT host a midnight release. So to celebrate in my own fashion, I made a cake :) its only the second cake I've ever made so im quite pleased with the results. Hope you like it!
Impressive! I'd like to make that cake for my son's 16th birthday but I don't think I have the skills.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! It's the 2nd cake I've made and was a huge undertaking. If I was smarter with my time it wouldn't have taken as long, but i probably clocked in somewhere around 20 hrs+ on this thing. I didn't think I had the skills either, but I watched youtube channels, read blogs, checked out books from the library, watched cake boss (lol), you name it I did it. It never hurts to try, I think you might surprise yourself! :)

ReplyDeleteThanks! I used an 18x12 for the top, and an 8in round for the infinite part. I just cut a small portion from the 18x12 after I shaped it and inserted the circle in so about 1/2 stuck out from the bottom then shaped that as well. In retrospect I would've used a 9in, because the 8 was just small enough that I couldn't get the exact shape I wanted, but the flag covered it enough that It didn't bother me much.
